Our patients must feel confident that when they seek care it will be delivered with the highest quality and in a way that is easily understood. My goal during a patient and family experience is to explain a medical condition or procedure to them in a way that they can understand and easily explain to someone else after our encounter has ended.

I REALIZED THAT OUR PATIENTS WERE NOT EMPOWERED.

During my medical training, I was amazed at the number of patients that were unable to communicate any of their medical history to the care team because they simply couldn’t understand what had been done to them.
